Teaching these Kindergartners and primary students has been a pleasure. I’ve learned so much from them and we’ve had fun all around. The yearbook has pictures of dancing, singing, field trips to the public library, and a couple of plays we put on as part of our class. And so very many pictures of children reading. That is the point, after all. In our last days we’ve talked briefly about story structure. We acted out the happiness at the beginning of the three act structure, then the dramatic thing that happens in the middle, and then the fun we have after vanquishing evil, solving the problem, or working together.
I wish you more fun in your learning, friends.I wish you more stories than problems.
I wish you more rainbows than storms.
The last library day has passed and I’ve outlined the summer reading program. I hope to see you all at the public library this summer.
